Global Commerce Initiative
As part of the Economic Development Group’s mission is to increase internationalism, we work directly with global organizations to create business opportunities for Chamber members around the globe. Our focus includes:
- Increasing our members’ awareness of international business opportunities through programming and events
- Increasing the availability of resources to assist members in international trade opportunities through our partnerships with organizations like to Colorado Consular Corps and Denver Sister Cities International
- Increasing development opportunities for our international partners by facilitating introductions and conversations to key players in our region.
The South Metro Denver Chamber is positioning itself as the “Go To” Chamber in Colorado for international trade and global commerce, working to connect Colorado businesses with existing resources and new opportunities. We approach this task in a collaborative manner with all of our strategic partners, including the Office of Economic Development and International Trade; World Trade Center Denver; US Export Assistance Center; Denver Metro Chamber; Colorado Consular Corps; and Denver Sister Cities International; among others.
On June 22nd, 2015, the South Metro Denver Chamber hosted its' first ever Consular Corps Celebration at AMG National Trust Bank. Please click here to read more about the event.

We continued this effort in 2016 through our partnership with Denver Sister Cities International and the DSCI Gala 2016. The Chamber's VIP Reception, held onstage at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, connected Chamber members to Business Leaders, International Diplomats and the Colorado Consular Corps.
