Sean Choi is a Colorado Native and Korean American. As a first-generation college student, Sean attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and later attended the University of Colorado at Denver, graduating with an M.B.A. in Finance.
After joining FirstBank as an intern in 2011, Sean has since progressed to become Senior Vice President and is currently serving as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for FirstBank. FirstBank is a privately held community bank headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado. Sean has a passion to implement diverse, equitable, and inclusive strategies that benefit employees, consumers, and the community.
Sean is actively involved in the community. He is currently the Board Chair for Scholars Unlimited, which provides free after school programming for elementary school students in need in the Denver metro area. He is a former Board Chair for the Asian Chamber of Commerce, former board member for the Havana Business Improvement District, and former Board Member of the Aurora Symphony Orchestra.
In his free time, Sean is obsessed with music, an avid collector of vinyl records, and an award-winning DJ. He is a two-time winner of Westword Magazine's "Best Hip-Hop DJ in Denver" (2006, 2013) and has performed nationwide at historic venues such as the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, and Red Rocks.
