POLICY UPDATES AND EDUCATIONAL ARTICLES TO HELP ORGANIZATIONS THRIVE
The 100 Year Gala was an evening of special celebration for the South Metro Denver Chamber on Friday September 24th at Wings Over the Rockies. The Air and Space Museum provided a beautiful backdrop for the tribute to the tremendous individuals, business members and executives of past, present, and future with over 275 in attendance. Our vibrant and involved leaders gathered in black tie and finest attire to reunite as a proud Chamber family and walk down memory lane. The stories and accomplishments intertwined with great respect for each other accompanied by laughter, handshakes, hugs and photos to save and relish the momentous occasion. We respectfully honored those no longer with us or unable to attend for their contributions and friendship. Brian Vogt, Honorary Chair for the Gala and CEO of the Denver Botanic Gardens presented a passionate speech in dedication to the Chamber and our communities. Through historic storytellers and speakers, the role the Chamber has played in so many lives, their businesses, and our community was graciously demonstrated. Storytellers included former members and leaders of the Chamber: Tony Rosacci, Dave DiFulvio, Dane Henne, Bob Sweeney, and John Brackney. The gala also reflected upon our legacy recognizing achievements since the first meeting that took place on June 10, 1921 at 10am. The partnership between the Chamber and individuals with the ability to shape cities and interact with government attribute to the growth and success of the region. This model of alliance is embraced to set course for the next 100 years. We sincerely thank our current and past members for joining in the celebration! The Chamber could not have held this memorable event without our generous sponsors including the University of Colorado, Arapahoe County Government, and Colorado State University. We extend our sincere appreciation to our VIPs, Community Leaders, Friends of the Chamber, Footers Catering, Lightsail Video, Frame de Art, guests and the community for your support and participation. To capture memories from the evening, The Villager Newspaper published a center feature on the gala.
