POLICY UPDATES AND EDUCATIONAL ARTICLES TO HELP ORGANIZATIONS THRIVE
|
Future of School (FoS) & Hide In Plain Sight (HIPS), a South Metro Denver Chamber nonprofit, are coming together to support the urgent needs of students and families in Douglas County through a unique partnership.
According to the Colorado Department of Education there are 5,759 students who receive free meals in the Douglas County School District as they are either homeless or live in poverty! Please help Hide In Plain Sight support our local children with their basic educational needs. The DC Remote Learning Relief Fund will provide access to critical needs of students and teachers in our local schools. The COVID-19 crisis has shifted classrooms into the homes of children. Yet, many do not have all that they need to engage in remote learning environments. We must help them to ensure equity and equality for all kids. Future of School (FoS) & Hide In Plain Sight (HIPS), a South Metro Denver Chamber nonprofit, are seeking donations to fund our DC Remote Learning Relief Fund to provide Douglas County School District students and teachers with what they need most--computers, broadband access and other tech-based supports – these items are what many low-income families do not currently have. PLEASE donate today at www.hideinplainsight.org click on the Donate button and choose the Robin Hood program and a particular school if you wish to have your gift designated to it in Douglas County. Thank you for your support!
