POLICY UPDATES AND EDUCATIONAL ARTICLES TO HELP ORGANIZATIONS THRIVE
|
Dear Centennial community, Happy April! I hope you are doing well and adjusting to this new lifestyle. The City continues to monitor the transmission of COVID-19 and works closely with the Arapahoe County Office of Emergency Management, Tri-County Health and others to do what we can to stop the spread of this virus. That being said, I cannot stress enough the importance of following the State’s Stay-at-Home Order. The more people who do not abide this order and practice social distancing, the longer the order will remain in place. By doing these things to stop the spread, the sooner we can get back to our new normal, which I know we are all anxious to do. In the meantime, I will be available to meet with Centennial residents every Tuesday in April from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. virtually. These meetings will provide an opportunity for Centennial citizens to share their ideas, concerns or questions with me. If you are interested in scheduling a time to speak with me please complete this form. Once the form is submitted, you will be contacted by a member of City staff to schedule a time for us to speak. I will be available Tuesday mornings on April 7, 14, 21 and 28. The form needs to be completed and submitted by noon the Monday before. For example, if you would like to schedule time with on April 7, you must complete the web form by noon on Monday, April 6. If you have questions please contact Naomi Lowell at 303-754-3341. On another note, if you have questions about COVID-19 please call 211, a new service that will help answer your questions and assist with helping you find essential services such as childcare, food, financial, etc.) The 211 number is staffed Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or you may visit the website 211colorado.org anytime. 911 should only be called in an emergency. Please remember the City has a lot of information related to COVID-19 available on the City website, centennialco.gov. You can also find a list of restaurants providing delivery, walk-up, carry out, drive-through, or drive-up services in Centennial. This list continues to grow so please know it is not comprehensive but please check it out and enjoy some food and drink from our local establishments this weekend. View the list at centennialco.gov/thinklocal. Additionally we’d love for you to share your stories, experiences and inspirational messages on social media (@CentennialGov) and use the hashtag #WeAreOneCentennial. You may contact the City by visiting the City’s website to report a problem or call the City’s 24-hr Citizen Response Center at 303-325-8000; call volumes may become heavy. For resources and additional information about COVID, visit centennialco.gov/covid19. You may also reach out to me directly at [email protected]. We are one Centennial and will get through this unprecedented time. Be well. Stephanie Mayor [email protected]
