City Council Study Session to focus on Englewood CityCenter Redevelopment Opportunities and Critical Next Steps
At the 6 pm Study Session on January 7, 2019, the Englewood City Council will receive a briefing on Englewood CityCenter. Interested Englewood residents and members of the business community are invited to attend. Chief Redevelopment Officer, Dan Poremba, will discuss with Council the critical next steps to protect Englewood’s interests in CityCenter and to guide the redevelopment opportunities.
Recent studies have identified the need to redevelop key portions of CityCenter, including the three square blocks of retail and office space previously developed by Weingarten Realty (red parcel). The Weingarten property was foreclosed on in 2018 and will be resold in 2019. This unusual foreclosure provides Englewood the opportunity to encourage and guide redevelopment plans, which may also include the City properties adjacent to the Englewood Station (blue parcel). Dan Poremba can be contacted with any questions (303.762.2366).
