Looking for something to do on Saturday, April 21? There will be many activities happening at the Centennial Civic Center. From 10 a.m. until noon, the City is hosting an event celebrating Earth Day, focused on appreciating the birds of Centennial with a variety of bird-related activities. Meet falcons, hawks, owls and eagles, make upcycled birdhouses, learn about the birds in Centennial and find out how to spot them.
The Senior Needles & Threads group at Holly Creek Retirement Community is assisting with an effort to knit bird nests with the City’s Earth Day event. Knit bird nests provide comfort and warmth to orphaned birds. Find a knitting pattern and drop off your knit bird nest donation at the Earth Day event and help a bird in need.
The Arapahoe Libraries Book Mobile and South Suburban Park and Recreation District’s Fun Bus will be onsite. Enjoy music from our DJ and face painting will be available all in Centennial Center Park.
Electronic Recycling Event 8 a.m. - Noon
