The Legislative Action Committee (LAC)
The Legislative Action Committee is a non-partisan forum designed for all Chamber members, irrespective of political acumen, who want to learn about the legislative process, track current bills being introduced and ultimately weigh-in on legislation that impacts our business community. Through the Chamber’s lobbyist Ringle, Boyle & Weist, committee members are provided up-to-date briefings on legislation critical to business leaders. In turn, members are encouraged to voice their opinion and vote on policy issues to be escalated to the Chamber’s leadership for an official position.

The Committee will again be active with the next legislative session beginning in January, 2009.
Why?
The business environment is critical to the well-being of many businesses and can be heavily influenced by those who make laws. The Chamber of Commerce is your voice to support good policies and when need be, to challenge and counter bad policy. This can only be accomplished by members’ active participation.
Who, Where & When?
To participate in the LAC, one must be a Chamber member in good standing and be willing to meet on a bi-weekly basis during the legislative session (January-May) and for occasional special meetings. Meetings typically take place at the Chamber Conference Center, 6840 S. University Blvd., Centennial.
The Legislative Action Committee will be meeting the 2nd & 4th Tuesday’s of each month from 7:30am til 9:00am. Most meetings will feature a guest Legislator from South Metro Denver.
