About HYPE

Mission of HYPE:
To connect, mentor, and empower young professionals in the South Metro Denver Chamber using networking, educational seminars, relaxed atmospheres, and volunteer opportunities. HYPE guides this entrepreneurial young talent to have an impact on the current and future marketplace.

Young Professional:
We define a Young Professional as anyone between the ages of 21 and 35 who is: a business owner; a current manager/executive within a company; a member of a professional practice; a politician, a business development or sales representative for a company; or a person striving to be an executive in their current career path. The Young Professional is the mover and shaker of today who will lead our economy and sculpt our political landscape successfully into the future.

Mentor:
If you are over the age of 35 and want to be part of HYPE we encourage you to apply to become a mentor. A Mentor will have access to HYPE events and will be expected to provide knowledge and guidance to help a young professional in his or her career path. Mentor applications will be reviewed by the HYPE Executive Committee for approval. Parameters on a maximum number of Mentors, or a maximum number within a certain industry, or the exact expectations of this role may be set in the future by the Executive Committee.

Get involved!
Besides coming to the events, there are two additional ways to get involved.
One is through sponsoring an event. The other is by serving on the Advisory Board.

What are HYPE events like?
HYPE events are fun, low-key get-togethers to network and socialize, plus get career-building resources and inspiration. The format varies from a cocktail/social hour to speed networking to sporting events and more. It is a great way to conntect with up-and-coming professionals in the area.

Can anyone go to the events?
“Yes! Some events are free and some have a charge. Any charge will be posted with the event details on Meetup and Facebook.”
