The South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce Expo 2011 will feature a full day of celebrating, connecting and learning about how to increase their businesses’ potential in today’s marketplace. For many people in Denver, being a part of the 2011 Expo will possibly be a major turning point for their businesses. This year we are celebrating our 90th year of forging business partnerships in the South Metro Denver Area by bringing back the Roaring 20s! Wear your fedoras and flapper skirts and lets get a wiggle on 'til the cows come home...
The day will begin with an open Board of Director’s Meeting from 7:30 to 9:00 and will be your chance to see the Chamber leaders in action. Listen to issues, ask questions and get involved in how the Chamber works... after all, its Your Chamber!A light breakfast buffet will be offered during this meeting.
At 9:00, businesses will put themselves in the spotlight in a fun “Roaring 20s” themed Business Trade Show. The Denver Business Journal, Denver’s leading business-to-business publication, is this years presenting sponsor. With over 100 exhibitors, the show offers something for everyone who is looking for an edge over the competition. Themed booths will be judged by the expo attendees and prizes awarded at the afternoon Business After Hours.
The 90th Annual Leadership Luncheon will take place the same day from 12:00 to 1:30 pm in the Marriott DTC banquet room. The Chamber will honor volunteers of the year with the honors divided among various Chamber business groups. Honorees to be announced and celebrated include The Chamber Volunteer of the Year, EDG Volunteer of the year, SBDC Volunteer of the year, EVB Volunteer of the Year and Chamber Connection Volunteer of the year. A special award for the “Not your Ordinary Volunteer” of the Year and others will also be announced. Nobody but the committee knows who the awardees are (and they are not talking) so it could be you! Make sure your there for this very special and fun occasion.
Keynote Speaker: Ashley Grosh - The Wells Fargo VP, Senior Project Manager for Environmental Affairs, Ashley Grosh is a leader for bringing Wells Fargo to a greener era. When stepping into the Wells Fargo business arena, she had a legacy to uphold with her father, Thomas Honig, Regional President and CEO for Wells Fargo – Rocky Mountain Region. Her innovation is bringing Wells Fargo together with customers, communities, environmental non-profits, universities, and multiple Wells Fargo business groups to bring the connection between banking and environmental initiatives further. Please join us to welcome Ashley and hear how she incorporates legacy, leadership and innovation into her everyday.

The Luncheon will also serve as the Chamber’s Annual Meeting where the incoming board members are introduced to the membership and outgoing board members are recognized for their service to the Chamber. These gatherings are always upbeat with plenty of spark and humor. Join us for this chance to celebrate community and connections. After all, that is what the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce is all about.

The traditional Expo After Party will be in full swing with Exhibitor Awards (including Best New Show, Best Individual Performance, Fan's Choice and Best Overall Performance) and networking will top the day off. This is the must-attend event for anyone looking to grow their business base and become more successful in the coming year. The Expo will be happening at the Marriott Denver Tech Center, 4900 S. Syracuse Street, Denver.
