At 9:00, businesses will put themselves in the spotlight in a fun “Showtime” themed Business Trade Show.
The Denver Business Journal, Denver’s leading business-to-business publication, is this years presenting sponsor. With over 100 exhibitors, the show offers something for everyone who is looking for an edge over the competition. Themed booths will be judged by the expo attendees and prizes awarded at the afternoon Business After Hours.
Exhibitors include: Bondi & Co, CoreFirst Bank & Trust, Arapahoe County Water & Wastewater, Four Points by Sheraton, My Favorite Muffin, PROformance Aparrel, Burt Automotive Network, Bellco Credit Union, Award & Sign, Denver International Airport, Clifton Gunderson, Wells Fargo, National Comtel and many, many more.
The 87th Annual Volunteer Awards Luncheon will take place the same day from 12:00 to 1:30 pm in the Marriott DTC banquet room. The Chamber will honor volunteers of the year with the honors divided among various Chamber business groups. Honorees to be announced and celebrated include The Chamber Volunteer of the Year, EDG Volunteer of the year, SBDC Volunteer of the year, EVB Volunteer of the Year and Chamber Connection Volunteer of the year. A special award for the “Not your Ordinary Volunteer” of the Year and others will also be announced. Nobody but the committee knows who the awardees are (and they are not talking) so it could be you! Make sure your there for this very special and fun occasion.
The Luncheon Keynote Speaker will be Donna Lynne, President and CEO of Colorado Kaiser Permanente. Ms. Lynne has more than 20 years of health care experience including seven years as executive vice president and chief operating officer of nonprofit Group Health Incorporated in New York.
She was honored by the Denver Business Journal as one of the city's"Outstanding Women in Business," selected among 200 nominees taking home honors in the health care category. Lynne has also been recognized for her leadership in growing the health plan's reach and expanding community benefit services for Coloradans. Colleagues remark that her exceptional communication skills and ambition makes Lynne a great business leader, partner, and friend.
While she’s climbed great heights in her long career, the summit that might impress most people has nothing to do with hospitals or health plans. Lynne, an avid hiker, last year climbed to the top of Uhuru Peak, the highest point of Mount Kilimanjaro at 19,340 feet.
The Luncheon will also serve as the Chamber’s Annual Meeting where the incoming board members are introduced to the membership and the outgoing board members are recognized for their service to the Chamber. These gatherings are always upbeat with plenty of spark and humor. Join us for this chance to celebrate community and connections. After all, that is what the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce is all about. Reservations and tickets:
Business seminars with a twist will also be held throughout the day and are free with Expo Admission! Incredible and topical seminars on sales, marketing and best business practices will be held throughout the day and are free with Expo admission.
