The Littleton Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for its inaugural year. The Academy is a project of the Littleton Community Retreat, which has been building a strong community since 1975.
Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the complexities of governance, as well as the challenges and opportunities the City and its key partners face in providing a high quality of life. Ten full-day sessions will be held on the third Thursday of each month from January 19 through October 19, 2017, and will focus on state and city government, economic vitality, education, mobility and land use, health and wellness, and Littleton’s infraculture.
Applicants must be eligible to vote and live and/or work in the City of Littleton. A maximum of 35 people can be accepted; participants will be selected by the Academy’s Screening Committee.
The tuition of $850 covers materials, speakers, lunches and snacks, two evening social events, and a graduation celebration. The actual value of the 10 sessions is more than $1,850 per person. A limited number of partial scholarships may be available.
